Project Management of Engineered to Order projects in valued 1 Million to 10 Million. The scope of responsibility begins after order acceptance by the company and continues through equipment commissioning customer acceptance and warranty period.
Responsible for meeting project profitability targets and financial expectations for assigned projects. Make sure the project cost is monitored controlled forecasted and customer is invoiced according to the contract.
- Review technical and commercial information of the project assigned to ensure understanding of scope of project. Ensure that every team member is aware and knowledgeable of project targets and how they will be accomplished lead and Manage the Project Team.
- Formulate project plan monitor for compliance and take action to correct any plan deficiencies.
- Formulate Project Plan and and ensure it is controlled and managed according to the Konecranes procedures & best practices to have controlled process from the beginning to the end of the process.
- Establish and maintain job files. Ensure records are accurate and ERP System is up to date and any given time
- Schedule internal kick off meetings. During the meeting Project Manager shallinform Engineering and Production departments the scope of the project project requirements and project schedule.
- Manage the internal and external communications related to the project. To secure communication flow between the Konecranes functions (engineering manufacturing... customer suppliers and subcontractors. Establishes and maintains professional relationships and open communication.
- Reviewing and confirming internal purchase orders for major components
- Visit different Konecranes facilities and subcontractor as required in order to determinate the progress of fabrication.
- Coordinate the shipment of crane to job site coordinate with installer and customer. Ensure subcontractor has sufficient information to complete installation. If necessary arrange site visit with subcontractor prior to installation.
- Arrange start up and commissioning of equipment with appropriate service group and/or subcontractors
- Handling and closing all project related warranty claims using corporate quality systems and guide lines
- Open follow up and close any Warranty claim internals and/or externals
Qualifications:
- Post secondary degree or diploma from a college or technical institute is preferred.
- Project Management Experience (min. 7years) preferably in heavy machine equipment
- Must have demonstrated leadership experience and well developed people skills.
- Ability to understand delivery scopes and logistics concepts
- Must demonstrate Technical Aptitude.
- Good general organizational and management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage and prioritize own use of time.
- Exceptional English communication skills are required. Must demonstrate good people skills.
- General PC skills MS Windows MS Outlook MS Excel Required. SAP/ERP system experience a large plus
