A growing private E&P Company in Dallas TX is seeking a strong Property Accountant to handle the daily and monthly accounting requirements for a specific set of oil and gas properties. This position will manage the production revenue allocation taxation and royalty calculation in their assigned area.
Duties include:
- Allocate and manage production database working closely with engineers to resolve any production discrepancies
- Gather review and allocate monthly revenue data
- Reconcile cash received against revenue allocated
- File monthly reports with various regulating entities (production royalty tax etc.
- Conduct account reconciliations
Qualifications include:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- 12 years Accounting experience (upstream Oil and Gas a plus but not required)
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Selfmotivated; initiative to consistently understand and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
