Job Description
Job Goal:The Early Childhood Special Education Teacher provides special education services as outlined in the Individualized Education Program to preschool students in a classbased program as outlined in the Individualized Education Program.

Qualifications:
- Appropriate Department of Elementary and Secondary Educators license in thefield or subject for this position
- DESE Moderate Special Education License Required
- DESE SEI endorsement Required
Responsibilities:
- Implements preschool curriculum develops individual instructional plans and helps select instructional materials and strategies that are individually developmentally and culturally appropriate.
- Collaborates with related service providers to plan and implement strategies appropriate for each individual child.
- Develops and implements IEP goals accommodations and services.
- Assesses students progress towards objectives expectations and/orgoals.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. Per the Somerville Educators Union Unit A collective bargaining agreement.

- Director of Special Education or designee
