As Manager Design & Development working out of our North American Headquarters office located in Edmonton AB you will support and lead a team responsible for the design development and evaluation of technical behavioral and supervisory learning programs practices and strategies.

Responsibilities
- Advises consults and collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs) to design and develop advanced curricula.
- Aligns team vision strategy and outcomes with organizational goals and business needs.
- Assesses the needs of the organization and targetaudience learners to ensure training design addresses performance gaps.
- Leads team members in the needs analysis design development implementation and evaluation of all levels of behavioral and technical courses including various corporate initiatives and major companywide programs.
- Evaluates courses and programs for effectiveness and impact.
- Supervises and leads the team in designing and developing instructorled courses elearning or blended learning programs.
- Researches and applies best practices and industry trends.
- Creates project plans for key or largescale projects based on employee strength and development needs and assigns tasks and responsibilities accordingly. Provides regular reports on the status of deliverables evaluations and outcomes of project goals.
- Collaborates with learning and development specialists on the design and build of courses or programs.
- Contributes to department budgeting and reporting requirements.
- Anticipates the skills needed for future work and helps to plan professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Postsecondary degree specializing in adult education organizational development education or business administration preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive learning and development experience in a corporate environment preferred including 13 years of supervisory experience.
- Understanding of adult learning theory and practices instructional design facilitation techniques and coaching.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering elearning blended learning facetoface and remote training.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate influence and present ideas and content that contributes to Professional Development priorities and corporate strategy.
- Ability to lead teams through significant changemanagement initiatives.
- Seen as a trusted advisor with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
- Exhibits strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate and coordinate activities effectively and lead and motivate professional development professionals
