Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech. Vishay UltraSource is currently seeking applicants for a Production Manager. This role will be responsible for overseeing and improving the efficiency of production operations. Were looking for an experienced candidate with thin film or semiconductor manufacturing experience proven management and coaching skills and the ability to bring people together to solve problems effectively. This is an onsite position.

Hollis NH is a small suburb in Southern New Hampshire an hour north of Boston MA and conveniently located near other major cities and access points in the New England area. Vishay UltraSource has 27000 sq. ft of manufacturing space and approximately 80 employees working between two shifts.

What you will be doing:

  • Supporting motivating training and developing the production team
  • Ensuring all safety and health standards are understood and followed to keep the team accidentfree
  • Evaluating and reducing machine and staffing risks in order to meet monthly production output to satisfy ontime delivery goals
  • Setting monitoring & meeting productivity goals for each manufacturing cell
  • Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve productivity without compromising safety or quality
  • Working with the planning team to ensure adequate scheduling of production staff
  • Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
  • Other duties as needed

What you will bring along:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required. Additional education and/or certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience working in a production/manufacturing environment is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong team building skills
  • Ability to coach and motivate employees
  • Thin film or semiconductor manufacturing experience
  • Effective problemsolving and critical thinking skills
  • Experience with ERP and planning software and systems
  • Conflict management training

Be a coach counselor and facilitator to your team. Remember that you are working for your staff not the other way around. Tell each person whenever they do a good job and tell them regularly. Remember its also your job to help mentor and guide notsogood staff into becoming good ones!

FIX PROBLEMS & DRIVE CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENTS

Deal with problems and conflicts as they arise. Maintain and reward for suggestions and solutions so people feel empowered to drive improvements. Develop a thorough understanding of the current situation in order to be able to accurately define the problem. Thoroughly consider alternative solutions while building consensus. Then PDCA (plandocheckact). Properly managed conflicts between people or teams can lead to process improvements improved relations growth and development.
