The Opportunity

Are you an experienced IT Business Analyst with a wealth of SQL and Power suite experience This role may be for you to work with the Duck Creek Reinsurance Business Lead on a number of different projects across QBE.

This role will be responsible for supporting the delivery of change to the business by leading shaping and directing analysis activity.

Your new role

Working with Project Manager and Duck Creek Reinsurance Global Business Leadyoull support business change initiatives by assessing needs capturing requirements designing solutions and delivering results. Youll also continuously identify areas for improvement driving efficiencies and fostering positive change in the analysis process.

Main responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders project managers developers and solution architects to implement businessled changes and support business objectives.

  • Align initiatives with departmental and business unit vision values and strategy.

  • Plan analysis activities create detailed work breakdown plans and ensure timely delivery of project objectives.

  • Assist in developing project plans and budgets; manage analysis activities to meet project goals and deadlines.

  • Work with the business to analyse problems and opportunities challenge where necessary and capture highlevel requirements.

  • Support analysis activities including gathering requirements creating process maps defining business and technical requirements addressing QA issues assessing systems for improvements collaborating on design specifications and ensuring solutions meet business needs.

  • Support the project manager in validating test plans and/or creating a UAT model; facilitate user acceptance testing and report results.

  • Support the implementation phase by applying knowledge used to create the solution.

  • Regularly review and monitor risks and issues make recommendations and own risks related to analysis when delegated by the project manager.

  • Manage and motivate business and project team resources including thirdparty resources to deliver analysis that meets business needs.

About you

With a problemsolving mindset youll inspire creativity and implement new ideas while specialising in areas such as process data business or systems analysis to improve business procedures workflows and tools.

Skills youll need:

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL/Oracle / Experience working with relational database

  • Advanced knowledge of the Power suite (Power BI / Power Automate / Power Apps)

  • Familiarity of systems development lifecycle (SDLC) and disciplines preferably within a multivendor environment.

  • Ability to define business analysis approach for complex programs/projects

  • Ability to effectively critique business analysis and project documents

  • Ability to engage with Business and IT colleagues to accurately convey and resolve issues found during analysis in a wellreasoned fashion.

  • Ability to challenge constructively on requirements or assumptions whilst maintaining positive and professional relationships.

  • Impartiality accurately reflects facts. Always maintains an objective & balanced view

  • Proactive looks ahead for potential problems and takes preventative or mitigating action in advance.

  • SelfDrive responds to challenging priorities with a sense of urgency and pace.

  • Ability to understand capture and document requirements in a structured and efficient manner
