Occasional Teacher Positions


The John McGivney Childrens Centre School Authority located in Windsor Ontario is seeking to employ occasional teachers to work with students with physical and learning exceptionalities in a multidisciplinary treatment centre.

POSITION:
*occasional teaching in a multidisciplinary treatment centre school
* teach students age 4 to 14 years with physical and/or learning exceptionalities
*teach students with a wide range of exceptionalities

DUTIES:
*develop and implement individual educational plans (IEPs)
*assess/evaluate student performance and achievement
*work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team
*implement teaching duties as outlined in the Education Act
*responsible to the principal

QUALIFICATIONS:
*Ontario Teaching Certificate
*Special Education Qualifications (minimum Part 1
*member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
*minimum of two years teaching experience in community schools
*experience teaching children with significant special needs
*strong computer skills
*primary/junior qualifications
*music qualifications preferred
* fluency in Arabic is an asset
