Job Description
- Manage and support the department to procure materials to schedule subassemblies final assemblies and outside manufacturing services and to receive and ship deliveries.
- Identify recommend and implement short and midterm improvements to current processes and reporting.
- Build relationships within the company and with external parties including suppliers.
- In partnership with the COO implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy
- develop a procurement and inventory strategy that effectively aligns with the current sales and operations plan.
- develop and implement an integrated planning and scheduling approach that optimizes capacity and improves ontime metrics.
- Excellent organizational analytical decisionmaking and communication skills are a must.
- Must be a problem solver have excellent multitasking abilities be proficient with data input and have strong math skills.
- Able to manipulate database data in spreadsheets using advanced Excel concepts.
- MRP/ERP systems experience required.
- Excellent supervisory skills required.
- 8 years of progressive experience in Planning with a strong background in Production Control Warehousing and Materials Management in a manufacturing environment.
- 3 years of Management experience.
- Bachelors degree (preferably in business) or equivalent
- ASCM/APICS certification a plus.
