Summary ofPosition: Design ProductCoordinator position is part of the Rebels Design Department and takes overdesign/product development process after the first proto is created. ProductCoordinator is responsible for making necessary tweaks to the prototype untilit is ready for bulk production.
It is an ideal position for those who are interested inoverall garment design and development process from both creative technicaltimeline and manufacturing perspective.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design Product Coordinator is responsible formaking both creative and technical design tweaks to the prototype and finetuning the design according to customers feedback and likings.
Design Product Coordinator is responsible forevaluating prototypes from fit/garment construction perspective and findingsolutions to improve fit and construction imperfections visible on theprototype.
Evaluating prototypes for quality to ensureexecution meets Rebels standards evaluate fabrics performance andconsistency print/dye sub quality crystals embellishments etc.
Performing prototype fittings on the fit models.
Measuring prototypes to ensure they were madewithin tolerance of correct block patterns.
Taking prototype pictures during fittingsessions.
Updating artworks tech packs print filescrystal and applique guides in Illustrator with required changes.
Leading communication between multiple teamsinvolved in development process factory sales reps sales operations.
Communicating with sales reps/customers and findingdesign/technical solutions to their concerns and preferences and translatingthem into technical directions for the factory.
Handling communication with oversees factoryexplaining solutions and specific technical changes they need to make to theprototype.
Approving prototypes for bulk production.
Maintaining organization of the developmentprocess documentation filing tech packs pictures communication and approvalrecords.
Updating status of the order/ project in Salesforce/lifecycle management system.
Qualifications and Requirements:
2 or 4Yeardegree in Fashion Design or equivalent handson experience with garmentconstruction / sewing / tailoring / seamstress experience.
Strongproficiency in Illustrator Excel and other Microsoft Office apps
Comprehensive understanding of garmentconstruction and fabrics/materials.
Candidate must be extremely detailorientedreliable and organized with strong analytical skills.
Candidate must have great communication skills.Ability to understand and communicate directions in clear quick and efficientway is extremely important.
Strong sense of urgency you will be oftenworking under tight timelines.
Ability to be flexible and adopt to change. Fastlearner.
Abilityto handle multiple tasks with changing priorities.
Ability to work independently as well ascollaborate with a team. Positive willing and team player attitude.
Experience working with Sales Force or any typeof PLM system is not required but a plus.
Working Conditions: Whileperforming the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit atthe desk working in front of computer. During performing proto fittingsemployee is required to stand use hands to handle or feel. Occasionallyemployee might be required to go up and down the ladder in the prototype room.
