Job Description

3rd and 4th Class Operating Engineer

Columbia Forest Products isthe leading North American manufacturer of hardwood plywood and veneer. Our veneer mill just outside ofRutherglenis located 35 km east of North Bay Ontario.

We are accepting resumes for a 3rd Class Operating/Stationary Engineer. We are also accepting resumes for 4th Class working toward their 3rd Class. Responsibilities will include under the direction of the Chief Engineer safe operation of the woodfired boiler and associated equipment. Each shift engineer will maintain the proper operating steam pressure for production and plant heating. The operating engineer will fulfill all requirements in accordance with the Operating Engineers Act. The operating engineer must work a 12hour rotating shift schedule.

A 3rd/4th Class TSSA certification is mandatory. Woodfired boiler experience and/or experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset. This is an hourly unionized position with healthcare benefits and a Gainshare bonus plan.
