Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Vendor Development Manager to join our team in Coimbatore or Chennai. This fulltime role is pivotal in enhancing vendor relationships and managing supply chain processes. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in supplier relationship management contract management and strong communication skills. The role demands proficiency in handling materials such as sheet metal plastic and rubber within the supply chain context.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in supplier relationship management focusing on building and maintaining strong partnerships.
- Expertise in contract management including negotiation and strategic agreements for optimal supply chain performance.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and the ability to apply them effectively.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written for clear and effective stakeholder interactions.
- Experience in project management with the ability to oversee complex vendorrelated projects from inception to completion.
- Technical knowledge of sheet metal plastic and rubber materials relevant to vendor sourcing and business requirements.
- Ability to strategically analyze vendor performance and implement improvements to meet business objectives.
- Problemsolving mindset with the capability to address vendorrelated challenges and derive effective solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop implement and manage vendor sourcing strategies to meet companys goals and client requirements.
- Foster strong relationships with key suppliers and negotiate contract terms that benefit both parties.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of vendors and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
- Identify and rectify potential supply chain disruptions to maintain smooth operational processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align vendor strategy with overall business objectives.
- Monitor industry trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of vendor processes.
- Lead crossfunctional teams to execute vendor development projects enhancing supply chain efficiency.
- Ensure quality standards are met by conducting regular assessments and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
