Job Description
Responsibilities:
Lead structural design and analysis for residential commercial and industrial projects.
Ensure compliance with local and international structural design codes and standards.
Prepare structural calculations drawings and specifications.
Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction phases.
Collaborate with architects contractors and other engineering disciplines.
Perform structural assessments and evaluations of existing structures.
Assist in project management including budgeting scheduling and reporting.
Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on technical challenges.
Requirements:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
Professional Registration with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) is mandatory.
Minimum 3 years of structural engineering experienceregistration experience.
Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g. Prokon Etabs SAP2000 Revit).
Strong knowledge of South African building regulations and SANS codes.
Experience with reinforced concrete steel timber and masonry structures.
Experience in seismic and wind load analysis.
Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modelling) and CAD software.
Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
