ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Director of Hospitality Market Analytics to join our growing analytics organization. The selected candidate will be CoStar Groups subject matter expert on hospitality trends across the Northeast & Midwestern United States with responsibility for providing analytic content (listed below) focused on these regions. The Director will play a key role as a client and industryfacing representative of CoStar and be responsible for delivering CoStars view of the market and the outlook.
The position will be based out of one of CoStars major office locations in the Eastern and Midwestern US. Arlington VA and New York NY would be the preferred locations though other possible office locations include Chicago IL Boston MA Cleveland OH and Philadelphia PA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Produce meaningful relevant and insightful analysis of Hospitality market conditions for inclusion in CoStars product offering
Responsible for analyzing market data and drawing insightful conclusions by utilizing all the data available at CoStar and STR to uncover trends patterns and other insights of interest to the Hospitality industry
Maintain wellwritten and timely market and submarket reports on the Hospitality industry
Deliver frequent inperson market updates to CoStar clients and industry groups focusing on the Hospitality industry and economic trends and themes across the Northeast and the Midwest
Speak to the local press about Hospitality trends
Write Hospitalityrelated articles for CoStars news platform summarizing key trends and performance themes that are of interest to the Hospitality industry
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in relevant field required
8 years of work experience in the Hospitality industry
2 years of experience providing data insights and analysis within the Hospitality industry
Willingness to travel to the main relevant markets for inperson presentations to clients
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Masters or other graduate degree in a related field strongly preferred
Demonstrated writing skills and ability to write effectively in large volumes
Strong data and analysis skills including Excel and PowerPoint. Proven ability to formulate and test hypotheses about trends in the market
Expert MS Office Skills
Polished presentation and communication skills.Comfortable talking and presenting to others often to large groups of industry practitioners
Strong work ethic selfstarter and ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
Client orientation a desire to help clients succeed
