Calm is looking for an experienced Partnerships & Business Development Manager to join our growing Strategic Partnerships team. This team manages the endtoend development and deployment of Calms strategic partnerships with some of the worlds largest companies. This includes working with our marketing content product finance and legal teams to evaluate and scope potential partnerships and negotiate contracts with external parties.
We are hiring remote workers for this role in the Greater London area. At this time only candidates in these locations will be considered.
What Youll Do
You will develop negotiate close and manage strategic agreements that support Calms mission and will positively impact growth. You will report to the Head of Partnerships (International) and work crossfunctionally with other Calm teams (e.g. Legal Marketing Content Product) to launch and manage partnerships.
Responsibilities include:
- Identify negotiate manage prospective partnerships which drive positivesum outcomes and renew strategic deals.
- Identify and scope new opportunities to grow partnerships and unlock additional value for Calm our partners and the consumers.
- Build relationships and credibility within partner organizations.
- Be the voice of the partner within Calm and navigate both internal and external priorities.
- Lead a virtual team of crossfunctional experts (Legal Marketing Content Product etc) to deliver bestinbusiness partnership deals.
Who You Are
- Proven experience in international Partnerships development
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills with experience with financial modeling
- Ability to identify when it is right for Calm to say No to a partnership
- Experience owning the contract negotiation process interpreting legal documents negotiating terms and working with attorneys to complete agreements
- Strong communication & storytelling: proficient in executive communication internally and externally
- Keen sense for prioritization both internally and externally with partners
- A selfstarter that isnt afraid to step in when needed
- You understand that collaboration and team play is key to success
- You are able to work in a fastpaced exciting environment and across external and internal teams to deliver
- Results driven creative thinker willing to push the boundaries
NicetoHaves
- Experience with a range of international partners both small and large across a variety of markets and cultures
- Experience working with a subscription business and/or major international loyalty program and/or international distribution partnerships
- Signed managed and renewed partnership deals
- Experience at or working with a creative agency
Minimum Requirements
- 5 years of related experience in Business Development or Partner Management at a tech company
- A selfstarter who is able to proactively and independently drive progress across multiple stakeholder groups
- Passion for understanding our partners businesses and finding ways to deliver winwin value
- Ability to present in both formal and informal settings
Calm uses a geographic pay model that determines salaries based on the location where an employee lives. For this position the base pay range across Calms pay tiers is as follows: 78000 GBP 96250 GBP. The base pay range represents the low and high end of Calms salary range for this position. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors which include the successful candidates geographic location skills experience and other qualifications. This role is also eligible for equity comprehensive benefits flexible time off.
