JOB TITLE: Police Officer Pleasant Hill Learning Campus
REPORTS TO: Director of Security
JOB GOAL: To ensure a safe and secure learning enviroment. Towork in partnership with the administration faculty and
students.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma.
2. Kansas Certified Law Enforcement Officer
3. Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may findappropriate and acceptable.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Patrols School grounds and parking areas to prevent fire theftvandalism. and illegal entry.
2. Maintain Law Enforcement certification by obtaining a minimum 40 hoursof training through fiscal year July 1 June 30. To include weaponsCPOST certificaction.
3. Up hold Kansas Laws and Board Policy on and around district schools.
4. Work with Directors and building Principals on security traffic and otherissues.
5. Assist other Law Enforcement Agencys and District Attorneys Office.
6. Security at district activities if available and has a desire to work theevents.
7. Asssit staff with student issues.
8. Be visisble in hallways / school during passing periods lunch periods andassemblies or as needed if available.
9. Attend school staff meeting if the Administrations wants you to attend.
10. Provide training to the disttict employees on law related topics oremergency procedures.
11. Confront unwanted persons on the property or in the building.
12. Prepare Kansas Standard Offense Reports or Miscellaneous reportsto documet incidents.
13. Conduct field drug test.
14. Perform student daily checkin procedure.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annuallyby the Director of Security with input frombuilding Principals.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve month 40 hour work week
