Job Description

New Hampshire Ball Bearings Inc. (NHBB) is a leading manufacturer of precision bearings and complex bearing assemblies for the aerospace defense medical dental and high technology markets. A part of NHBB since 1964 NHBBs Astro Division is based in New Hampshires Lakes Region a place defined by the natural splendor of the many lakes ponds and rivers found here.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop core technology for critical new products to support strategic growth of both Rod End/Spherical Bearing & Rolling Element Bearing (REB) products and testing.
  • Support from initial R&D stages to TRL 6 launch to mfg ensuring ontime crisp results.
  • Interface with all levels in NHBB divisions and 3rd party resources on development projects.
  • Design fabricate integrate and optimize custom equipment including mechanical electrical/electronic hydraulic and pneumatic elements
  • Maintain test programs by evaluating rig status build/teardowns specimen inspection & test reporting
  • Interface with AMP divisions and 3rd party resources on test/development projects
  • Support test rig upgrades maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Develop technical analysis capabilities and support regarding product design development & analysis.
  • Develop products in a structured product development process progress projects according to the project schedule work with vendors and other internal departments to ensure deadlines are met.

Requirements:

Education:

  • BSME/BSMET or equivalent with a minimum 2 years experience.
  • Background in design and troubleshooting for electrical & mechanical components/systems.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Experience:

  • Microsoft Project Powerpoint database management public speaking & presentation results driven.
  • Knowledge of designformanufacture and designfortest techniques.
  • Handson prototyping skills using basic shop tools and equipment.
  • Product design analysis product failure analysis Solidworks Fininte Element Analysis Jones etc
  • LabView SQL/Database MATLAB experience a plus
  • Bearing design failure analysis and/or testing a plus

Physical Demands: Position requires sitting for long periods of time walking standing bending reaching daily phone and computer use speaking hearing and seeing.
