Our technology enhances safety and efficiency in global airspace navigation with applications in air traffic control radar border security and unmanned aerial systems tracking.
About the Role
In this role you will own FPGA firmware design and implementation driving innovation in multimode operations beamforming Doppler processing and environmental resilience.
Responsibilities:
- Design FPGA firmware for scalable RF frontend/backend architectures.
- Work closely with radar software and mechanical engineering teams to integrate FPGA designs.
- Translate highlevel product goals into refined system and subsystem requirements.
- Develop and execute design verification test plans for all system levels.
- Innovate radar transceiver architectures signal processing chains and protocols.
- Maintain thorough documentation for designs tests and integration processes.
- Share knowledge across teams and stay updated on FPGA and radar system advancements.
About You
- Experience with FPGA development and verification.
- Proficiency in VHDL and Verilog for FPGA development.
- Familiarity with FPGA toolchains such as Vivado ISE Quartus and ModelSim.
- Handson experience optimizing FPGA timing resource use and implementing advanced digital signal processing architectures.
- Ability to work from highlevel requirements to create robust documented designs.
- Radar signal processing architecture FPGAbased RF/microwave system design and Knowledge of protocols (e.g. I2C SPI UART UDP) is a plus.
- Experience with RF tools (oscilloscopes spectrum/network analyzers) and Knowledge of MATLAB Simulink and RF simulation platforms (ADS Microwave Office) is a plus.
- Background in DoD/aerospace embedded systems or U.S. Air Force projects is a plus.
- Solid written and oral communication skills and a team player focused on group success.
- Selfmotivated proactive learner who takes initiative to solve complex problems.
- Bachelors or masters degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
