    The Superintendent invites qualified and interested persons to apply for the position ofExecutive Assistant (Confidential)within the Office of the Superintendent.

    Definition:The Executive Assistant serves as a direct report to theSuperintendent and is expected to provide all necessary support and assistance as required and directed by theSuperintendent. The Executive Assistant also provides administrative leadership and support towards the achievement of the Districts mission and goals.

    Qualifications

    1. Masters or Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university.
    2. A New Jersey Standard Principal or School Administrators certification.
    3. Demonstrated experience as a Principal or building/district level administrator preferable.
    4. Three 3 years of successful administrative experience.
    Responsibilities
    1. Provides all necessary support and assistance as required.
    2. Assists theSuperintendent with policy development and management by providing expert management recommendations consultation and assistance in the full range of administrative and management support issues for the District.
    3. Develops reviews and recommends organizational alternatives to enhance District performance on all administrative and management issues.
    4. Supports theSuperintendent on all phases of information technology and general support service activities.
    5. Serves as an advisor in the formulation of the Districts short and long range plans/goals.
    6. Integrates planning initiatives into resource formulation.
    7. Directs plans coordinates and develops policies and procedures related to administrative functions.
    8. Directs the staff of the Administrative Office in the provision of the procurement of supplies and equipment contract negotiations interagency agreements printing/reproduction property management space management travel/transportation management analysis information technology physical and personnel security in support of the needs of the Deputy Superintendent.
    Knowledge and Abilities
    1. Thorough knowledge of the principles practices and theories of education.
    2. Thorough knowledge of standard and innovative teacher training practice and considerable knowledge of principles practices and coordination methods as they apply to educational program management.
    3. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrative and school site personnel.
    4. Ability to prepare clear and concise correspondence/reports containing findings conclusions and recommendations.
    5. Ability to design and implement strategies which maximize employee potential and foster high ethical standards in meeting the Districts vision mission and goals.
    6. Ability to develop and implement a District vision which integrates key national and program goals priorities values and other factors.
    7. Ability to create a work environment that encourages creative thinking.
    8. Ability to make timely and effective decisions and produce results through strategic planning and the implementation and evaluation of programs and policies.
    9. Ability to acquire and administer human financial material and information resources in a manner which instills public trust and accomplishes the Districts mission.
    10. Ability to use new technology to enhance decision making.
    11. Ability to explain advocate and express facts and ideas in a convincing manner.
    12. Ability to negotiate with individuals and groups internally and externally.
    13. Ability to develop an expansive professional network with other organizations and to identify the internal and external politics that impact the work of the District.

    Salary Terms & Affiliation
    1. Salary Range: $115000$165000
    2. Employment Period: Twelve 12 Month
