The City of San Jos Information Technology Department (ITD) seeks an experienced executive to serve as Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO) andlead the Technical Infrastructure Division.
Leaders in ITD all play a key role in working across organization boundaries to deliver superior IT services while shaping emerging demands. In partnership with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) the DCIO will drive the expansion of infrastructure services to meet the emerging demands and evolving work priorities. As a key position the DCIO will play a pivotal role in advancing the Citys goals to innovate accelerate solution delivery and promote deep collaboration.
By aligning with the Citys commitment to equity and resource priorities the DCIO will contribute directly to creating lasting value for the San Jos organization and its community as they navigate new transformative challenges. Success in the City culture requires modeling values of collaboration responsiveness employee development effective relationship management and producing great outcomes.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Education and Experience
Any combination equivalent to successful completion of advanced course work from an accredited college or university in business public administration or related field; AND six 6 years of increasingly responsible experience in seniorlevel administrative and/or analytic work in a public or private agency. Experience managing a work unit equivalent to a major division within a City operating department is desirable.
Passing the San Jose Police Department (SJPD) background check is a condition of employment.
