TITLE
Technical Lead
JOB SUMMARY
The Technical Lead is responsible for translating information technology infrastructure goals and priorities into actionable plans for technology solutions in their domain of expertise. In this role they work collaboratively with other areas within IT Solutions to implement new IT infrastructure and evaluate upgrades and enhancements to current IT infrastructure. This position provides technical expertise in specific IT domains to support IT infrastructure implementations and ensure a consistent university experience no matter the location. As a member of the IT Solutions (ITS) team the Technical Lead is expected to uphold the divisions mission to empower an agile digital university and elevate technology as a strategic institutional asset and contribute positively to a collaborative human-centered innovative accountable transparent and inclusive culture within ITS.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Depending on domain expertise Associate Director for Security & Network Operations Manager of Platform & Cloud Services or Manager of End User Computing
Supervises: No supervisory responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES -May include but not limited to the following:

EDUCATION
Bachelors degree required. Additional job-related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
EXPERIENCE
Seven years of relevant experience in one or more domains of IT infrastructure including network & infrastructure voice services platform & cloud services or end user computing. Additional job-related education may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
REQUIREMENT
Regular and reliable attendance at the University during regular scheduled days and work hours is an essential function of this position.
Work is performed under general supervision and performance is based on the effective completion of assignments and results obtained. The performance evaluation is conducted through the performance evaluation system and in accordance with the University Policies & Procedures.
All employees share the responsibility of maintaining information security and privacy requirements within the university by adhering to Federal and State regulations and TWU Policies & Procedures.

The employee may be required to travel. Ability to lift up to 50lbs and use a ladder as necessary. May be required to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
