Job Description
THE POSITION
Are you a skilled tradesperson who enjoys working with your hands to complete a widerange of projects If so Torrance State Hospital (TSH) may have the position for you! We are seeking an ambitious Maintenance Repairman 2 to conduct duties for the paint shop while striving to keep hospital facilities throughout the complex in good working order for the safety and relaxation of our patients. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Maintenance Repairman 2 you will function as a member of the maintenance crew and perform a wide variety of duties relating to the operation and maintenance of the facility specifically within the paint shop. Additional duties may also involvework in other trades such as carpentry electrical and plumbing. Safety is a top priority for our patients as well as for the employees of our facility. This position has limited direct care interaction however it is expected that this professional will interact with adult and geriatric populations as appropriate. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday Friday with a 30minute lunch.
- Overtime as required
- This position may be subject to emergency callin.
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1(Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title as determined by the Office of Administration);or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building electrical or mechanical trades;or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges Skills and Abilities.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Drivers License.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including but not limited to PA State Police and FBI clearance.
