Who we are supporting

Allied Command Transformation (ACT) is NATOs leading agent for change: driving facilitating and advocating the continuous improvement of Alliance capabilities to maintain and enhance the military relevance and effectiveness of the Alliance. The main objectives of ACT are: providing appropriate support to NATO missions and operations; leading NATO military transformation; and improving relationships interaction and practical cooperation with partners nations and international organisations. ACT therefore leads Alliance concept development capability development training and lessonslearned initiatives and provides unfettered military support to policy development within NATO.

The program

Capability Development & Management Support (CDMS)

DCOS Capability Development (CAPDEV) acts as the Supreme Allied Commander Transformations Director for guidance direction and coordination of the activities and resources of the Capability Development Directorate.

The Requirements Division will execute all tasks and activities needed to support requirements management for NATO capabilities

The Capability Requirements (CR) Branch will develop the Capability Requirements Brief and recommended courses of action to resolve issues through the life cycle management of requirements using matrixed crossfunctional projectspecific Requirements Management teams.

The Requirements Forward Branch (Mons) is responsible for conducting requirements development and management representation and engagementrelated functions in Europe.

The Capability Division coordinates the development of capabilities from capability planning through acceptance and then disposal with management entities NATO Headquarters staff and the NATO Governance Structure

The Capability Forward Branch (Mons) coordinates with ACO NCIA NSPA NATO HQ territorial Host Nations and NATO Centres of Excellence (COEs) to support the development of capabilities.

Strategic Plans and Policy (SPP) supports Allied Command Transformation in formalizing military advice to shape future military strategy political guidance and other policy documents supporting NATOs strategic objectives.

Role Background

The NATO SACT Demonstration Team is a strategic initiative designed to showcase the transformative power of SACTs cuttingedge technologies and innovative solutions to a wide range of audiences including NATO leadership Nations International Staff Military and Civil Institutions and external stakeholders. The Demo Team will employ a variety of formats to communicate SACTs work including live demonstrations simulations interactive workshops and digital platforms.

Role Responsibilities

• Craft Compelling Narratives: Develop and write clear concise and persuasive messaging for a variety of audiences. Create compelling stories that align with Command goals values and brand identity. Tailor content to suit different media and audiences.
• Presentation Development: Design and create engaging presentations for NATO leadership Nations NATO HQs and external stakeholders and audiences. Develop visual and written content that enhances communication captures attention and effectively conveys key messages.
• Collaboration with CrossFunctional Teams: Work closely with internal teams including SMEs public relations professionals graphic designers and videographers to ensure cohesive messaging and creative assets that support campaigns initiatives and events.
• Brand Messaging Consistency: Ensure all communications align with D&G and maintain a consistent voice across all channels from media outreach to internal messaging and digital content
• Crisis Communication: In times of crisis assist in developing communication strategies that address issues quickly transparently and strategically minimizing reputational damage
• Event Support and Communication: Manage the communication needs for events product launches and other highprofile initiatives ensuring messaging is clear timely and engaging for attendees media and general audiences.
• Develop press releases media advisories and other communication materials to support event coverage.
• Manage media relations and coordinate media interviews for SACT leadership and subject matter experts.
• Metrics and Reporting: Monitor the success of event coverage campaigns and engagements (collect data and analyze KPIs) track recipient satisfaction and provide regular reports to leadership on the effectiveness of the demo team.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience in marketing communications public relations/public affairs.
• Minimum of 3 years experience with professional storytelling and engaging audiences
• Minimum of 2 years experience in crafting strategic resultsdriven communications and campaigns.
• Minimum of 2 years working with crossfunctional teams including subject matter experts graphic designers videographers and PR professionals
• Proficiency with marketing and communication tools and project management software including management reporting.
• Experience with managing and fostering relationships across all levels.
• Experience with international organizations or multinational teams and working in a military or defense environment.
• Knowledge of NATO structures and procedures.
• Experience with video production and editing.

Education

• A degree in a relevant field such as Marketing Communications Public Relations Journalism or a related field.

Language Proficiency

• Advanced Proficiency in English.
