This includes but is not limited to constructing maintaining modifying and repairing grounds facilities such as roads parking lots and surfaces landscapes athletic fields walkways irrigation systems utility systems and large brick hardscapes.Required Qualifications
  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Position requires a minimum of two years work experience involving:
    • Grounds maintenance;
    • Outdoor utility construction maintenance or repair;
    • Light carpentry; and
    • Landscape construction maintenance or repair.
  • Demonstrated experience or ability to perform work in a commercial and/or institutional setting.
  • Ability to maintain and use hand and power tools safely as required for the trade.
  • Valid drivers license or the ability to obtain one prior to starting work in order to drive a stateowned vehicle for travel to work locations.
  • Physically perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional outdoor construction experience.
  • Demonstrated construction equipment operation including backhoes excavators and trailers.
  • Demonstrated experience operation with Vactor trucks.
  • CDL Class A drivers license.
  • Knowledge of: applicable Washington Administrative Code (WAC) regulations and local building and plumbing codes.
  • Knowledge of: Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act (WISHA) Occupational Safety and Health Agency (OSHA) rules and regulations standard job safety rules proper use of a face respirator.
