Systems Sales Engineer

As a Sales Application Engineer at Coperion you will join a global leader in Systems and Ingredients Automation. This is a role that combines technical expertise with strategic sales skills to deliver customized equipment solutions for our clients in the Food Health and Nutrition industries. Essential Functions:

• Review and interpret written specifications provided by clients to properly size and select equipment for the application.
• Assess due dates and customer requirements collaborating with the engineering and production teams to propose tailored solutions that meet customer objectives.
• Prepare accurate and wellpresented proposals including supporting documentation such as technical deviations/exceptions flow diagrams pricing etc. and support activities during the quotation and selling process.
• Work with internal and external suppliers to specify and propose the necessary equipment to complete system proposals.
• Represent Coperion at industry events trade shows and customer sites as a trusted technical advisor.
• Assist in the training of customers external representatives and sales staff.
• Maintains accurate data in sales systems (CPQ/CRM).

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Industrial or related Engineering degree or 5 years of related engineering experience.
• A deep technical and mechanical aptitude for understanding product functionality and use.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD preferred.
• Experience with designing/specifying/quoting/selling durable capital equipment in the Food Health and Nutrition industries.
• Reading blueprint/schematic diagrams and understanding of the manufacturing process flow.
• Strong aptitude on the interpretation of technical specifications and risk mitigation.
