Job Description:
Lead and coordinate development of the Enterprise Explorer (Products and Services) data model) for the NESDIS Office of Systems Architecture and Engineering (SAE).
Job Responsibilities:
Assist with designing the Enterprise Explorer data model and data fields identifying and capturing data and making connections to external databases
Engage with and coordinate inputs across SAE branches and other teams to ensure efficient use of resources
Ensure longterm maintenance and sustainability of the Enterprise Explorer by conducting regular quality control checks and updating data regularly and as necessary
Requirements
- Intermediate proficiency and experience with database development and design (e.g.relational databases sql node/graph db) is necessary.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience with NOAA products and services
- Ability to work independently.
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident / Green Card holder with at least 2 years residing in the US.
Bonus Points if You Have:
- NOAA NASA or DoD experience working with environmental products and services
- The ability to work on multiple projects and keep track of deadlines
- A detailoriented mindset with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
Education:
Degree in data science engineering or a scientific field with 515 years of experience
Program management experience or ability to quickly learn.
