Job Description

Manager HLH LLP Chartered Professional Accountants

Take advantage of this opportunity to become part of our growing firm and join our dynamic leanthinking team! We are passionate about working with our clients providing quality accounting services and having some fun while we do it! The ideal candidate will have a CPA designation and 13 years of postdesignation work experience. This position will provide file preparation and review client advisory and staff supervision opportunities including:

  • Preparation and review of financial statements and tax returns in accordance with firm standards (Compilations Reviews and Audits)
  • Preparation and review of GST returns personal tax returns T4s & T5s
  • Managing client relationships and identifying opportunities to expand services with clients
  • Tax planning and general client advisory and assistance. Recommendations and consultation with clients on internal systems and procedures
  • Mentorship and support to existing staff regular contributions to improving firm policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • CPA designation; 13 years of postdesignation experience in public accounting
  • Minimum 4 years public accounting experience; preferably working with ownermanaged businesses
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively manage client relationships with limited Partner involvement
  • Experience with complex tax planning scenarios corporate reorganizations succession planning and company valuations
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite; Demonstrated strong experience with CaseWare TaxPrep Sage and/or QuickBooks
  • Demonstrated client service and communication skills
  • Excellent communication problemsolving and troubleshooting skills; organized and able to manage multiple deadlines
