The role
In this dynamic role you will play a vital part in keeping our worldclass facilities safety quality and performance for the many visitors who enjoy our venues each day. You will be joining an inclusive and diverse team based at the Aquatic Centre working together to ensure the safety maintenance and operations of the Centre.
As our goto expert you will handle essential tasks like troubleshooting repairs and installations ensuring our pools and venues stay pristine and compliant with NSW Health and other statutory requirements. Your role will encompass daily inspections preventative maintenance and management of core systems including pool filtration chemical dosing and air conditioning. You will be crucial in managing data for operational efficiency and emergency response protocols.

What you will bring to the role
- Proven experience in the operation and maintenance of plant and equipment
- Possession of or willingness to obtain an Aquatic Technical Operator (SISSS00011 qualification is desirable We will support you to acquire this
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems (e.g. MEX) and the ability to perform repairs and installations as required.
- It would be beneficial (though not essential) to have experience in monitoring recording and logging of pool plant operations including filtration plant chemical dosing and testing
- Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to perform emergency management tasks acting as a first responder for fire alarms and incidents is preferred (training can be provided)
What is an essential requirement:
- Able to work to a roster including weekends
- A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is an essential requirement for this role(or willingness to get a WWCC before being appointed to the role). The role has been identified as requiring a check in keeping with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012.
- Current Driver licence.
- Forklift licence
