Systems Engineer - Active TSSCI with CI Poly

HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Develop and apply advanced engineering and design methods theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced system requirements hardware/software interfaces and applications and solutions.
• Operate and sustain the ongoing daily operational use of VMware infrastructure including updating testing and deploying the vSphere and vCenter product releases. This includes identifying and reporting concerns or issues encountered during installation testing and deployment of new software releases.
• Manage and administer physical and virtual servers primarily Windows and Linux servers
• Support and management of server virtualization server provisioning physical server maintenance security compliance and daily operations
• Manage VMware vSphere with emphasis on automation and enterprise storage and backup system administration installation and ongoing maintenance experience.
• Maintain server lifecycle provisioning maintenance and decommissioning of the hardware
• Maintain the virtualized server environment via configuration implementation management and support activities
• Monitor the virtual server infrastructure environments health status service performance and utilization
• Implement and maintain continuous compliance to information security policies and technical standards reporting and remediation of noncompliances
• Maintain the security baseline compliance via configuration implementation and remediation activities
• Troubleshoot maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
• Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems
• Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring security Operating System (OS) installation and other local area system administration related functions
• Provide installation and operational support of voice and data communications hardware and software systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot storage systems and other related technologies
• Oversee the Installation of new storage hardware and software according to standard operating procedures
• Perform configuration of operating system and security patches for host and distributed systems and implements incident response procedures during incidents of a network or host security breach.
• Review customer requirements and makes recommendations for changes to existing technical architecture.
• Comply with prescribed customer industry and agency standards.
• Provide support to IT systems including daytoday operations monitoring and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices mobile devices etc. support administer and maintenance of enterprise data center systems comprised of both physical and virtual servers storage backups monitoring and automation
• Participate in special projects as required

• Required Education and Experience: BA/BS 8 years
• Must have an Active TS/SCI and willing to obtain and maintain a CI Poly
• Certifications: DoD Manual 8570.01M at the Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II role
• Working technical competency in one or more of the following supported platforms: Microsoft Windows Server Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers MS HyperV/VMWare/ESXI/Xen Hypervisors Scripting BMC Footprints WSUS Lumension Bitlocker SQL Server 2012 Microsoft IIS Windows Server 2012r2/2016 Win 10 Red Hat 6.5 Microsoft Office
• Hands on engineering experience with NetApp and other storage technologies and concepts
• Experience with SAN NAS and iSCSI storage implementations
• Experience with capacity planning and sizing storage and backup environments
• Experience in performance tuning and optimizing storage and backup environments
• Experience with data center migrations and storage replication technologies
• Experience with design development implementation and maintenance of largescale systems preferably across multiple hardware platforms and data centers
