Job Description
JOB TITLE: EXTENDED SCHOOL YEARSPECIAL EDUCATION PARAEDUCATOR
QUALIFICATIONS:Demonstrates aptitude for the work to be performed; High School Diploma; 48 College Hours OR Paraprofessional Certification
REPORTS TO:Teacher and Special Services Administation ESY Principal
JOB GOAL:To help provide a smoothly functioning classroom environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resources.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare the classroom activities under supervisionof certified teacher.
- Assist teacher with instructional classroom duties.
- Assist teacher with noninstructional classroom duties including feeding tube feeding toileting (including changing diapers) clothing management and transitions between classrooms and activities.
- Assist with an individual childs particular needs when called upon to do so.
- Perform clerical duties for assignedteacher.
- Perform such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the principal may assign from time to time.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Certified Paraeducator: $14.77/hour
- Noncertified Paraeducator: $12.16/hour
- Student Aide: $9.00/hour
TIMES/DATES:Mon.Thurs. 7:45 am 11:45 am; June 226
EVALUATION:Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on Evaluation of Paraprofessional Personnel.
