JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Identifiestroubleshootsand resolves plant issues and acts as a liaison between engineering team and OperationsProduction and Maintenance departments.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports Maintenance and Operations in system troubleshooting and recommends course of action toengineering managementfor approval regarding troubleshooting significant events or complex plant problems.
- Interfaces with Maintenance and Operations for cost effective maintenance strategies.
- Issues engineering changes (Design changes and temporary modifications) to supportONLINE work schedule emergent plant issues and equipment reliability issues.
- Helps support planning and prioritization aspects of project life cycle.
- Implements action plans of senior team members to address deficiencies via the corrective action and work management processes.
- Supports changes in system configuration/design and design basis.
- Develops engineering products in accordance with defined standards and procedures.
- Participates in project teams for critical online system outagesand/or refueling outages.
- Serves on outage engineering support teams.
- Attends training and maintains qualifications necessary to perform required group functions.
- Be part of the Emergency Response Organization
- Be Selfsufficient and able to selfmanage work load with minimal supervisor oversight
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position:
- B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or other closely related scientific discipline/physical science generally associated with power plant operations or equivalent work experience (equivalent experience defined as demonstrated success at the engineer/technical specialist level.
Minimum experience required of the position:
- Experience in nuclear power design EngineeringSystems Engineering operations or equivalent.
- Highly Desired:Experience withEFIN (Engineering Fix It Now) organization Reverse Engineering Design Circuits andHardware Systems
Minimum knowledge skills and abilities required of the position
- Good to excellent communication skills. Physical ability to support plant walk downs and inspections. Experience/proficiency in PC use and engineeringspecific applicationsand Electrical Print reading.
Any certificates licenses etc. required for the position
- Desired:SRO license or certification on a PWR or BWR; Professional Engineering license
