Personal Care Worker

Corryong Health is a fully accredited small rural health service located in the picturesque northeastern corner of Victoria just 120 kilometres east of Wodonga. Corryong Health offers a comprehensive range of services including urgent care acute care residential aged care and homee and communitybased services.

We are seeking a suitably qualified Personal Care Worker to join our team. Positions may be on a casual or part time basis to suit your availability and preferences.

About the role:

The Home Care Personal Care Support Worker is responsible for providing a range of services for clients who may have a disability or frail aged persons who have been assessed as needing low or highlevel care. To achieve this the care worker aids in accordance with the identified support requirements as agreed with the client and stated in their care plan.

Responsibilities include:

• To assist with personal care and household tasks as outlined in the clients care plan
• To assist with facilitating transport and community access as required
• Household domestic cleaning tasks
• Perform tasks associated with personal assistance such as assisting with showering assisting client with shopping banking paying accounts writing letters assisting with cooking meals and assisting clients with other duties as requested
• Provide social and emotional support and companionship to the client or the carer of the client
• To act according to emergency procedures
• To support the implementation adherence and review of an Elders care plan/task list

Potential candidates will hold:

• Australia working rights
• Certificate III in Individual Support or
• Certificate IV in Ageing Support
• Certificate II HACC Aged Care or equivalent/higher (optional)
• Previous experience in an aged care (optional)
• First Aid and CPR Certificate (optional)
• Basic computer skills
• Victorian / NSW Drivers licence

Potential candidates will be willing to obtain/ provide:

• National Police check dated within 3 months
• NDIS Workers Screening Check WorkingWithChildren Check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases
