Position Title: Business Development Representative Construction (GC)

Type: Hybrid FullTime

Key Responsibilities

As the Business Development Representative you will play a vital role in driving business growth and expanding client relationships for a leading general contractor. Your responsibilities will include:

Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in targeted industries.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key decisionmakers ensuring client needs are understood and met.

Proposal Development and Bid Coordination:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare comprehensive project bids and proposals.
  • Ensure all submissions align with client requirements and company capabilities.

Market Analysis and Strategy:

  • Conduct market research to identify trends emerging opportunities and competitor insights.
  • Develop strategic plans to expand the companys presence in key markets.

Networking and Brand Representation:

  • Represent the company at industry events trade shows and networking functions.
  • Act as a knowledgeable ambassador promoting the companys services and value proposition.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role candidates should demonstrate the following:

Education & Experience:

  • A degree in Business Marketing or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • 35 years of experience in business development sales for a general contractor or bidding on construction projects.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in CRM platforms Microsoft Office Suite and project bid software.
  • Familiarity with construction industry standards and terminology is an asset.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong communication negotiation and relationshipbuilding skills.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
