Role overview:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for closing new business opportunities within the media sales sector.

This role involves identifying qualifying and closing deals with new clients as well as actively working on an established book of business to achieve sales targets and revenue growth.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in sales show strong negotiation skills and have a deep affinity with the student market.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Identify develop and win new business opportunities within the target market.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify potential clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies and plans.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms in line with native expectations.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports via Salesforce to Leadership.
  • Stay uptodate with industry trends and developments.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to represent native.

What you will have:

  • Proven track record in closing sales and achieving revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to sell at the Marketing Director Level.
  • Strong presentation negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to build maintain and grow strong client relationships at National brand level.
  • Selfmotivated and resultsoriented.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work in a fastpaced scaleup commercial environment.
  • Proficiency in using CRM and sales software.

Nice to haves:

  • Media sales and/or event sales experience
  • Strong understanding of the media landscape advertising & events industry and Gen Z audiences
  • Experience of guiding and mentoring assigned SDRs to generate pipeline
