Job Description
Our client leadingleader in life sciences and diagnostics is looking for Systems Engineer basedout of Santa Clara CA.
Duration: Long Term Contract with a high possibility of extension
Pay Rate: $60/hr on W2
Looking for a motivatedand teamoriented individual who is passionate about next generation sequencingtechnology. The chosen candidate will become an expert on the operationtheory and data analysis from the new Single Molecule Sequencing platform.Drawing on experience in systems biochemistry electrochemistry and/ormaterials science the System Engineer will design and execute experiments onthe sequencing platform and will help develop and analyze microfluidic devicesurfaces interfaces and processes. Analyze and succinctly presentexperimental results with actionable next steps identified related to therobustness of the microfluidic device and the system.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately andconsistently execute and record experimental methods materials and results.
- Become an expert on the operation of the High Throughput Sequencing Platform.
- Design implement and analyze sequencing results of various microfluidicdevice process changes and various operating parameters.
- Investigate troubleshoot conduct failure analysis and perform devicedevelopment in a fastpaced environment.
- Debug instrumentation device and software issues to create a robust platform.
- Understand and apply statistical methods design of experiments and/or processcontrol monitoring techniques.
Qualifications:
- 05 years applicableindustry experience. Preferably 2 years experience.
- B.S. in bio engineering electrical or mechanical engineering chemicalengineering statistics or a related discipline with a background in molecularbiology biochemistry or surface/materials science.
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent written and electronic recordkeeping skills.
- Proficiency in writing technical reports and verbally communicating with othertechnical staff.
- Excellent troubleshooting (experimental instrument device softwarereagents) and problem solving skills along with experimental designexperience.
