Job Description

Speaks Law Firm is looking for a Support Staff Coordinator to join our growing team. This position will be responsible for overseeing our dedicated support staff including legal assistants and balance clerks. This role will also play an integral role in onboarding new clients. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to combine their legal knowledge and leadership skills in a fastpaced and rewarding environment. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Supervision and Leadership:
    • Oversee the daytoday tasks of the legal assistants and balance clerks team providing guidance and ensuring tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Ensure quality control of work completed by Legal Assistants and Balance Clerks providing support and training as needed.
    • Assist with the development and implementation of team goals and performance metrics.
  • Client Onboarding and New File Assignment:
    • Assist with the onboarding process for new clients ensuring all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed and entered accurately.
    • Assist with initial claim set up and retrieval of accident reports.
    • Coordinate and oversee new file assignments ensuring that all information is entered properly into the system and the team is ready to begin work on the case.
    • Handle overflow reporting for new files and pending intakesas assigned.
  • Case Management:
    • Assist in the management and progression of client cases from intake to file assignment.
    • Communicate with clients regarding intake and initial steps in their case.
    • Coordinate with case managers attorneys adjusters and other parties to ensure timely and effective case management.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with the personal injury team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the case process.
    • Provide feedback and support to the Legal Assistant and Balance Clerk teams to foster a productive work environment.
Required Qualifications:
  • Paralegal certification or degree is preferred but not required
  • Associates degree or higher in a related field is preferred
  • Must have at least three 3 years of experience as a case manager paralegal or similar legal support role
  • Prior experience supervising or managing a team is required
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology case management procedures and legal documentation required
  • Working knowledge specific to personal injury law preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced level knowledge of MS Word Excel
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with attention to detail and deadlines
