Job Description

Make a Real Impact as a Specialist Tenancy & Property Manager in the Housing Homeless Sector

Are you passionate about supporting young people as they transition to independent living Do you have experience in tenancy management and a strong commitment to creating stable futures for vulnerable individuals This is your chance to join our team in Geelong on a FixedTerm basis until 30 June 2026 and make a lasting difference in the lives of people facing housing instability.

The Role

As a Specialist Tenancy Manager youll oversee a portfolio of young clients entering the supported head leasing program managed by HHS. Youll guide them through tenancy setup support them throughout their tenancy and assist with exit planning to help them transition into independent living. Your work will be crucial in providing housing stability for younger persons and clients of other funded head leasing programs across our organisation. You will work with diverse clients to provide traumainformed and culturally safe support through their housing journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage tenancy functions for Young People Leaving Care/Shared Futures program.
  • Provide tailored support to clients ensuring successful tenancy setup maintenance and exit planning.
  • Collaborate with care teams to address the individual needs of clients.
  • Ensure compliance with the Residential Tenancy Act 1997 and manage rental tasks and maintenance reporting.
  • Assist with property searches applications and tenancy reviews to ensure clients housing stability.
  • Represent Haven Home Safe at VCAT hearings and advocate for clients when required.
  • Liaise with community agencies and service providers to resolve tenancy issues and ensure longterm support.
  • Collect data and feedback to improve services and meet key program outcomes.
  • Travel to Preston to work and support both our Metro and Barwon Portfolios

Who Were Looking For:

  • Experience in tenancy and property management ideally with young people or in community services.
  • Strong knowledge of tenancy laws and a commitment to supporting vulnerable groups.
  • Excellent communication and problemsolving skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people as they transition to independent living.
