Job Description

Our OKC manufacturing client is looking for someone to oversee the production staff and ensure they adhere to all safety quality delivery and cost criteria. Reach out to to learn more!

Assistant Plant Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Makes production managers and supervisors accountable for actions occurring within their purview.
  • Talks with the proper staff to examine metrics and discuss any necessary adjustments to goals or objectives from current status and conditions
  • Monitors coaches directs and timely assesses the performance of managers and workers.
  • In charge of maintaining the areas cleanliness as well as the safety of the workers machinery procedures and personnel.
  • Charged with ensuring that all procedures tools and personnel adhere to quality standards.
  • In charge of ensuring compliance with the TS16949 quality standard and ISO 14001 environmental standard policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to work more than ten hours per day or forty hours per week depending on the shift.
  • Exhibits effective working relationships with others when cooperation appropriate communication and successful outcomes are involved.
  • Upholds the rights of every employee to fair treatment equal opportunity and freedom from all forms of harassment.
  • Managers have a variety of duties such as interviewing employing and training staff; planning allocating and supervising work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining staff; and responding to complaints and resolving issues.

Experience:

  • Experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred Previous work experience in the automotive industry particularly with occupant safety restraint systems and components. Experience with Toyota Production System disciplines and requirements and IATF16949.
