Youll lead initiatives supporting the User group at Roblox spearheading the development of innovative features and tools collaborating crossfunctionally to deliver impactful products focused on UI modernization scaling open source efforts and optimizing the Roblox platform across all devicesincluding Xbox PlayStation iOS Android and Meta Quest.
You will report to the Head of Consumer Product Marketing. This role is located at our headquarters in San Mateo California. #LIHybrid
You will:
Lead go to market for major feature launches
- Drive GTM strategy and for platform in experience and product teams ensuring clear communication and adoption.
- Includes creating the marketing strategy messaging and positioning in support of these product teams.
- Partner closely with Product Engineering Design Communication and Developer Relations to roll out UI optimization (widgets badges VR haptics) & modernization efforts (i.e. icon library redesign new UI components).
- Work directly with Sony Microsoft Apple Google 3rd party platforms)
- Create messaging positioning and key audience education materials to support these launches.
- Depending on the product youll engage directly with both developers and users ensuring the right messaging and resources are available to each audience.
Develop and promote best practices for platform optimization
- Gather insights from developer and user communities to refine strategies and improve adoption.
- Establish clear best practices to help developers create optimized highperformance and userfriendly experiences on Roblox.
- Build and execute a multichannel strategyincluding DevForum posts inproduct messaging tutorials webinars direct outreach and community engagementto drive widespread awareness and adoption among developers including Xbox PlayStation iOS Android and Meta Quest.
- Create compelling highquality developerfacing materials that effectively communicate best practices and drive adoption ensuring clarity and engagement across all developer touchpoints.
- Scale open source efforts by supporting external communication creating technical content and driving awareness among developers.
You have:
- 8 years of product marketing experience preferably within a developerfocused or global platform company.
- Experience driving gotomarket strategies for major product launches particularly for consumer UI/UX infrastructure or developer tools.
- Proven track record driving crossfunctional alignment cohesive collaboration and working with product and other key stakeholders at all levels.
- Passion for developer platforms and an understanding of how to drive adoption within creator communities.
- High attention to detail including precise and effective communications.
- Ability to represent Roblox externally including working directly with platform partners such as PlayStation Xbox and others to align on messaging and positioning.
- Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear compelling messaging for different audiences.
- Bonus: Familiarity with open source marketing.
