Heavy Equipment Technician / Mechanic

LOCATION: Ancaster ON

WORK ENVIRONMENT: InShop

TYPE: FullTime (MondayFriday / Day Shift)

EQUIPMENT SERVICED: Hydrovacs vac trucks refuse equipment street sweepers
*Infrastructure maintenance equipment

SIGNING BONUS:

• 310T or 421A Licensed $2500.00
• 310T or 421A Apprentices $1000.00
• All other ticketed mechanics $1800.00

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Licensed Heavy Equipment 421A) or Truck & Coach Technician 310T) preferred
• 2 years experience as a Licensed Mechanic or 3 years working experience
• Valid Drivers License with Clean Abstract
• Experienced with hydraulic and electrical work

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform trouble shooting mechanical repairs and PDIs (predelivery inspections) on a variety of heavy equipment represented by Joe Johnson Equipment
• Conduct repairs in a timely and effective manner communicating effectively with the Service Writer and Parts team to ensure optimal efficiency
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks and inspections
• Communicate with Lead Hand and/or Service Manager regarding job progress and job status changes
• Maintain organized and safe work area and shop tools
