Position Summary:

Performs daily review of all preference card charges and reconciles all charge interface reports. Acts as a liaison for all OR charging functions.

Reports to: Director

FLSA: Nonexempt

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Reviews daily patient charges and reconciles against patient care record.

Maintains updated charge sheets.

Maintains the Units Charge master.

Confers with billing office on charges.

Evaluates and restocks inventory for the cath labs and prep unit.

Processes and submits product orders.

Works with vendors and manufactures to obtain products for special procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Associates Degree (Preferred)
*Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education.

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Required Skills
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS)

Minimum Work Experience
4 years of cardiac Imaging Monitor Tech or related charge capture area
