Mission
As a Propulsion Integration Engineer your main mission within the area will be to definethe integration processes associated to the propulsive components of therocket as well as to provide an adequate follow up at the workshop toguarantee the proper of these processes.
Responsibilities
- Developmentimplementation and optimization of assembly procedures for rocket enginesystems and propulsive components: assembly manuals work orders postassemblyinspections and reports... Continuous improvement of assembly processes (basedon lessons learned) to bring products from prototype to highvolume production.
- Assemblyof rocket engines fluid systems and others. Perform assembly processes(mechanical joints by means of fasteners bolts and screws sealing functionaland leak tests) of engines turbopumps and other propulsive components (rigidpipes valves metallic supports and brackets electrical and avionicsequipment and harness).
- Technicalsupport and problem solving during assembly procedures.
- Support at the organization of tasks and projects within the team.
- Workwith our design engineers and supply chain in evolving our designs to improvequality and assembly and simplify operations. Then implement in arapidlyevolving production environment.
- Collaborationwith design and manufacturing of tooling and support equipment to facilitatehardware assembly.
- Attentionto detail and establishment of a highly structured integration environment.
- Quicklyresolve nonconformances and work with the Quality team to implement root causecorrective actions.
- Implementationof quality assurance processes according to specifications norms andstandards.
- Maintainingan operational safe clean and wellorganized integration environment.
Necessary Requirements
- Highlevel in both written and spoken English and Spanish.
- Bachelorsdegree in aerospace engineering manufacturing engineering mechanicalengineering or another relevant field.
- Proven2 year experience with assembly and integration of complex multidisciplinarysystems in aerospace aviation automotive or similar qualityoriented industries(past work experience internships team/personal projects qualify).
- Handsonproject and assembly experience with mechanical or/and high pressure fluidsystems.
- Experiencewith the following: assembly planning and process definition documentation andreports creation process tracking and quality control according to standards.
- Understandingof engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and assembly includingworking knowledge of GD&T and design considerations.
- Fullproficiency in MS office tools expected.
- Experiencewith CAD software (NX desired) 3D models and 2D engineering drawings.
- Experiencewith ERP systems work order creation/management and BOM structures.
- Abilityto learn lead others and help others learn while maintaining high performancelevel.
- Desireto work handson both independently and as part of a team.
Desired Requirements
- Familiaritywith some of the following: design for manufacturing kaizen leanmanufacturing six sigma and failure mode and effects analysis. Experienceapplying them.
- Experiencewith process development from R&D to highvolume manufacturing.
- Desiredexperience with orbital launch systems and or launch vehicles or flightproduction projects or programs.
- Experiencein full lifecycle development of aerospace systems.
- Teamor Project leadership experience in an aerospace development environment orsimilar.
- Experiencewith TeamCenter desired.
