Job Description
High School Diploma Required. Two years of college preferred. Requires verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in collaboration with others. No experience required. One year patient care or related experience preferred preferably in a psychiatric setting. Successful candidate must possess basic computer skills in order to use a variety of electronic systems to access and/or maintain personal employmentrelated data satisfy required annual trainings and use jobspecific applications and email. Successful candidate will provide accurate and timely documentation of AFS progress notes and observation sheets. Establishes therapeutic relationships with patients maintaining professional boundaries. Identifies patient behaviors that contribute to the development of a crisis; utilizes nonverbal and verbal techniques to deescalate crisis situation. Participates in planning and implementation of patient groups. Active milieu assessment while assigned to checks particularly attuned to safety concerns. Assists patients in their activities of daily living Employment at McLean Hospital is contingent upon a successful CORI (Criminal Background Check) National Background Check and clearance from the Occupational Health Department. McLean Hospital is pleased to offer a full spectrum of benefits for all staff regularly scheduled to work 16 hours or more per week (benefits are prorated for part time staff).
