Clearing Forwarding Supply Chain Cross trade Cross Border Temperature controlled cargo Consolidations NVOCCpreferential rates Hazardous Cargo Dangerous Goods Cargo Express Air Service International Trade Finance/ Supply Chain finance Marine Insurance Customs Tariff Consultations Project Management BBBEE Procurement Bonded agent Warehousing Destruction of Rejected Cargo Vet Health & ITAC permit applications Containerized packing and unpack Bulk loading & discharging and Breakbulk
Role: Import Seafreight Forwarding Clerk
Location: Pinetown Durban
Qualification:
- Matric or NQF4 equivalent qualification.
- Freight qualification is advantageous
- Shipshape or similar knowledge
- Groupage and Estimates experience
- RCG experience is essential
- 5 years industry experience
- Clear criminal record
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Able to handle and work under pressure
- Excellent customer service
- Organized and able to work to deadlines
- Must be able to perform full forwarding function
- Discuss and negotiate freight rates
- Registration of new shipments received from clients
- Ensure freight invoices are paid and invoiced out
- Able to compare and check rate of exchange being used andpaid to carriers
- Checking all documentation is correct
- Compile import Estimates
- Provide clients with daily feedback and updates
- Book cargo and inform clients of sailing dates
- Processing of forwarding manifests
- Handle Groupage and handover shipments
- Update ETAs and track shipments online
- Checking the various registers and ensuring these areupdated
- RCG Knowledge is essential
