Clinical Assistant Professor

Job Description:

The Department of Medicine is seeking multiple applicants for a fulltime clinical track position in Hospital Medicine at the Assistant Professor rank. The successful candidates may perform inpatient attending duties including consultations teaching and supervising medical students and residents quality and safety research.

The position can be individualized and opportunities for leadership and project management are encouraged. The Division of Hospital Medicine is a dynamic division with strong initiatives in quality and safety palliative care and surgical comanagement. We enjoy a close collaborative relationship with Shands Hospital and pride ourselves in professional and cooperative interdisciplinary care.

The UF Department of Medicine is a national leader inEndocrinology Gastroenterology Nephrologyand Pulmonary medicine. In addition Shands Hospital is ranked among the Top 50 insix adultspecialties in the 2018 edition of Americas Best Hospitals published by U.S. News & World Report. Resources available for professional development at the University of Florida Health Sciences Center include leadership education and research tracks within a Clinical Translational Science Institute (CTSI) formal mentorship programs and supported opportunities for teaching and research.

Requisite attributes include a commitment to service a strong sense of teamwork and a desire to train tomorrows doctors. We offer a generous base salary with strong incentive component. State 30/J1 visa waiver may apply.

Expected Salary:

Salary is negotiable commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Applicants must be boardcertified or board eligible in Internal Medicine and be eligible for a Florida Medical License. M.D. degree or equivalent is required.
