Description

CDR Maguire Inc. a national multidisciplinary engineering and emergency management consulting firm is seeking CEI Inspectors (Bridge Inspectors) in the Ft. Pierce Florida area for current and future projects.

Only qualified candidates will be considered. Sponsorship or Relocation is not available.

Essential Functions:

  • Consult with contractors consultants engineers job superintendents and others in matters related to plans specifications materials equipment and the methods practices and safety precautions involved in construction and installation of the work.
  • Prepare daily progress reports and maintains progress schedules in accordance with CDR Maguires and Owners requirements.
  • Check shop drawings and contractors quotations for variations.
  • Keep records of quantities and cost of materials and verify used delivered materials conform to the contract documents.
  • Prepare contractors periodic progress payment claims and recommends payment.
  • Ensure compliance with the contract documents by the contractor and the contractors health and safety plan.
  • Check contractors layout and verify accuracy.
  • Ability to bend stretch kneel sit and stand; ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Infrequently perform manual labor and work in adverse weather conditions.

Other Principal Duties:

  • Travel as required and as it relates to above duties or as directed by supervisor.
  • Provide positive attitude to establish competence and pride in the company.
  • Other duties which may be required which are commensurate with the position.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read write and communicate in English and perform basic math computations for length area and volume.
  • Two 2 years of experience in construction inspection to include one 1 year in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection.
  • 1 years of experience with FDOT.
  • Civil Engineering degree (with the required certificates listed below) can substitute for the needed experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.


Qualifications:

  • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I
  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
  • CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
  • CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection (required for inspection of all drilled shafts including miscellaneous structures such as sign structures lighting structures and traffic signal structures)
  • IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I
  • CTQP Final Estimates Level


Certifications:

  • FDOT Intermediate MOT
  • Nuclear Radiation Safety
  • IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I
  • Florida Stormwater Erosion and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification
  • Program for Inspectors and Contractors
