We are seekinga Procurement Student for our PCL Industrial Management Inc. district within ourCanadian Industrial Divisionthat is availablefor 4 or 8 months starting in September2022. This position willbe under the direct supervisor of theManager Procurement and Equipment.
As a Procurement Student and depending on your assigned project you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:
Responsibilities
- Sourcing materials services and equipment as directed and in accordance with policy and procedures.
- Identifying and selecting vendors to purchase requisitioned commodities meeting criteria such as price quantity quality safety and delivery date.
- Expediting orders.
- Shipping and receiving.
- Maintaining inventory levels and records.
- Preparing procurement reports and documentation as required.
- Providing equipment administration support.
- Practicing PCL safety practices.
- Assisting in all aspects as is reasonably available of procurement & equipment management activities.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Supply Chain Management or Operations Management specialization in a postsecondary institution.
- Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Maintains a positive working relationship with clients.
- Ability to perform multiple projects effectively in a fastpaced resultsoriented environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
