About the Role

We have two fantastic opportunities available one continuing opportunity working with the Faculty of Business and Economics and one 12 month secondment within the COOP and Chancellery team. Reporting to the respective cluster HR Director the successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor and to align HR strategies with divisional objectives while ensuring consistent implementation of universitywide HR initiatives.

As a HRBP you will develop a deep understanding of your divisions strategy working closely with your cluster HRD to create and implement HR plans that support divisional goals. This role offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your HR expertise collaborate with talented professionals and drive impactful outcomes that support both divisional strategies and the Universitys mission.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Executing Universitywide HR and Talent initiatives in Divisions translating these to the local environment ensuring that Divisional people plans align with UoM People Strategy.
  • Interpreting explaining and ensuring compliance with the Universitys HR policies and procedures and communicate new and/or revised policies to divisional staff when required.
  • Partnering with divisional leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at increasing performance through our people.
  • Working with Divisional leadership and Centres of Excellence to determine development and training opportunities.

Who we are looking for

Were looking for two experienced HR Business Partners with exceptional stakeholder management skills. Youll excel at building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders influencing decisions and advising on HR policies. Trust credibility and strong communication skills are essential along with analytical and problemsolving expertise.

If you have significant experience in HR partnering in a large organisation this role is for you!

You will also have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification with demonstrated HR work experience in a large complex matrixed reporting environment.
  • Experience in providing expert advice and guidance on a range of HR issues and the ability to work in a complex ambiguous and changing environment.
  • Complete suite of Generalist HR knowledge and skills. This will be the senior HR advisor/business partner to support the executive and leadership team within the Division.
  • Strong case management experience with ability to support leaders to manage complex cases including performance concerns complaints and other investigations.
  • Ability to draw upon and partner with Business Services and the Centres of Excellence to provide a seamless HR proposition.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an uptodate Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesnt have a valid Working with Children Check they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
