The Role

As a Music Teacher you will be responsible for teaching students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 delivering engaging and highquality lessons that foster both musical creativity and technical development. You will inspire students to explore their musical talents whether through performance composition or theoretical study while maintaining high academic standards within the department. Additionally you will have the opportunity to contribute to extracurricular activities and help students showcase their musical achievements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching and Delivering Lessons: Plan and deliver engaging music lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 ensuring a stimulating and inclusive environment for students to thrive in.

  • Fostering Musical Talent: Encourage students to explore a variety of musical styles and techniques while helping them develop their skills in performance composition and music theory.

  • Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess students progress and provide constructive feedback to help them develop both academically and artistically.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the Music Department to share ideas resources and best practices ensuring a consistent and high standard of teaching.

  • ExtraCurricular Activities: Lead and support musicrelated extracurricular activities such as school concerts ensembles and performances providing students with additional opportunities to develop their musical skills and showcase their talents.

What We Are Looking For

  • Qualifications: A degree in Music or a related subject along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.

  • Experience: Experience teaching Music at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with a proven ability to engage and inspire students in a challenging academic environment.

  • Passion for Music: A genuine passion for music with a commitment to inspiring students and helping them develop both their technical skills and creative abilities.
