The Role

As a Music Teacher you will be responsible for delivering highquality music lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will have the opportunity to foster a love of music helping students to develop their technical skills creativity and passion for performance. This role will also involve collaborating with colleagues to maintain a high standard of teaching across the department and supporting extracurricular activities that showcase the musical talents of our students.

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching and Delivering Lessons: Plan and deliver engaging music lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 creating an inspiring learning environment for students.

• Fostering Musical Development: Encourage students to explore a variety of musical genres and techniques developing their skills in performance composition and theory.

• Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess students progress providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their potential.

• Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the Music Department to share resources ideas and best practices ensuring a consistent and high standard of teaching.

• ExtraCurricular Activities: Lead and support musicrelated extracurricular activities such as concerts ensembles and musical performances providing students with opportunities to showcase their talents and further develop their musical skills.

What We Are Looking For

• Qualifications: A degree in Music or a related subject along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.

• Experience: Experience teaching Music at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with a proven ability to engage and inspire students.

• Passion for Music: A genuine passion for music and a desire to share this enthusiasm with students helping them develop their skills and creativity.

• Collaborative and Enthusiastic: A team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is committed to maintaining high standards within the Music Department.
