The Role

As an Art Teacher you will be responsible for teaching students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will have the opportunity to deliver a stimulating art curriculum helping students explore their creativity and develop their artistic skills through various techniques and media. This is an excellent opportunity for an ECT to gain valuable classroom experience while working alongside experienced teachers who will provide guidance and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching and Delivering Lessons: Plan and deliver engaging lessons across a variety of artistic mediums ensuring that students are inspired to explore their creativity while being supported in their learning.

• Fostering Creativity: Encourage students to experiment with different artistic techniques and media helping them build their skills and express their creative ideas confidently.

• Assessment and Feedback: Assess students progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to help them improve and develop their artistic abilities.

• Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the Art Department sharing ideas and resources to ensure consistency and high standards across the department.

• ExtraCurricular Activities: Support and participate in extracurricular initiatives such as art clubs and exhibitions offering students opportunities to showcase their work and further their artistic development.

What We Are Looking For

• Qualifications: A degree in Art or a related subject along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.

• Passion for Art: A genuine passion for the arts and a desire to inspire students to explore and develop their creativity.

• Early Career Teacher: This role is specifically aimed at an Early Career Teacher (ECT) who is excited to start their teaching career in a supportive environment.
